Terms of use

Last updated: 31 October 2026. Publisher: Shader, contact escadrille@shader.be.

In short: Escadrille is played offline, with no account and no ads; the Channel is free, the Alps and the desert unlock with a one-time in-app purchase. Your progress stays on your device. These terms apply to the game and to this website, in addition to Apple's App Store terms.

1. Scope

These terms govern the use of the Escadrille game for iPhone and iPad (“the game”) and of the escadrille.shader.be website. By installing or using the game, you accept them.

2. Getting the game

The game is distributed only through Apple's App Store. Its price, if any, and the download terms are those shown on its App Store page when you get it. Apple's terms (including the Licensed Application End User License Agreement) also apply; where they conflict on a matter that falls under Apple, Apple's terms prevail.

3. Licence

Shader grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the game for private purposes, on Apple devices that you own or control. You may not copy, modify, decompile, resell, rent or redistribute the game or its parts, except as permitted by law.

4. How it works

5. Saved progress

Progress is saved locally, on the device. It is erased if you delete the game, unless your iCloud or computer backup has kept it. Shader holds no copy of your progress and therefore cannot restore it.

6. Intellectual property

The game, its graphics, 3D models, texts, logos and this website belong to Shader. Music and fonts by other authors are used under their licences, listed in the credits.

7. Updates

The game may change through updates that add, modify or remove features. Shader may change these terms; the date at the top of this page shows their latest version.

8. Liability

The game is provided as is. Shader strives to make it work properly but does not guarantee it is free of errors. To the extent permitted by law, Shader is not liable for indirect damage arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants you as a consumer.

9. Personal data

The game collects no personal data: see the privacy policy.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Belgian law. In the event of a dispute, and after an attempt to settle it amicably by email, the Belgian courts have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the mandatory rules protecting consumers in their country of residence.
